Hui Makua Structure
The structure of the Hui Makua o' Kamakau is a little different than most but it can be quite effective if we follow some standardized practices of general hui hierarchy. The Hui Makua Board works directly with the makua and kumu to facilitate projects and carries information to Uo Mamo via the Makua Reps. And communication flows back the same way. If we follow this effective pattern of communication we should keep participation in the meetings high.
The Makua Reps will attend Hui Makua Board meeting through a representative of their choice.
Makua Reps may also attend Makua meetings as makua.

Kai Loa is the financial arm (501c3) of Kamakau.

We should add Kai Loa, Kamakau's nonprofit, since that is where all funding will come from for our events and that is the tank our money will go into from fundraising.
Mahalo Bryan for putting so much time into getting us up and running. I appreciate all your effort. We are off to a good start! |
